Prismatic Salon is the culmination of nearly two decades of dedication, artistry, and resilience. Founded by Kym Sparks, a talented stylist and graduate of the prestigious Gary Manuel Aveda Institute in Seattle, the salon reflects her passion for hair, color, and connection. Kym began her journey in 2006 and has refined her craft while living and working in Seattle, Hawaii, and now Texas.
After ten successful years with a high-end Houston salon, she stepped out on her own to create a space where beauty and community meet. Prismatic Salon began as a single booth rental but quickly grew—despite a serious car accident early on that could have ended it all. Thanks to Kym’s courage, determination, and the support of a deeply loyal circle of clients, friends, and family, the salon thrived. Today, Prismatic Salon has expanded into its own custom-built location in Spring, TX, offering a vibrant, welcoming experience tailored to each guest.
Kym's partner in life and business is her husband of 19 years, Randy Sparks, a U.S. Navy Officer. While Kym is the creative force behind the chair, Randy brings structure and support behind the scenes. Their journey together—marked by military deployments, cross-country moves, and shared dreams—has shaped the values at the heart of Prismatic: resilience, warmth, authenticity, and excellence. Kym’s background as a self-made woman who overcame adversity from a young age has fueled her determination and artistry, combining her lifelong loves of chemistry and art into a standout approach to hair coloring. At Prismatic Salon, clients don’t just receive expert service—they become part of a story rooted in strength, passion, and transformation.
